ACAN will once again be back at Futurebuild on March 07 - 09 2023 at the ExCel in London – "the home of innovation in construction". We'll spotlight our ongoing campaigns and events, as well as showcasing low-carbon construction build-ups and giving live building demonstrations in hempcrete, clay plaster, earth and lime. We'll also have book print copies of our Climate Emergency Conservation Area Toolkit available to buy. Learn more about it here.
On Wednesday evening we will do a takeover of the main bar area, with an in-person open meeting with discussions around our 3 main aims.
On Thursday we'll be taking over the Materials Stage all day with a sessions on each of our three main themes of Ecological Regeneration, Cultural Transformation and Decarbonise Now.
In each slot, provocateurs will pose an idea with a short presentation. Participants will then be asked to participate in activities and share their thoughts in small groups considering burning questions and collectively answering with their experience and expertise. Sessions will be fun and interactive – everyone’s input is encouraged.

At 5pm on Wednesday 8th March, we will takeover the bar area at Futurebuild with a LIVE open meeting! This will be based around our main aims of: Decarbonize Now, Ecological Regeneration, and Cultural Transformation.
The Bar Takeover at Futurebuild 2022 was a huge success, and gave an opportunity for people to hear about ACAN and engage in discussions focussed around each of the thematic groups.
