ACAN stands in solidarity with the people of Gaza who are facing untold horrors while being ethnically cleansed from their homeland. We support Architects for Gaza in their efforts to aid the Palestinian people as described in this video.
The genocide in Palestine is a dark stain on the world’s conscience, but the daily horror being inflicted on the Palestinian people is being silenced and minimised by the media, governments and vested interests. The genocide is accompanied by urbicide, in which the destruction of buildings is used as a weapon of terror and displacement, and by ecocide, in which natural resources of water and soil are deliberately targeted.
ACAN – with its values of social justice, ecological regeneration and non-violent activism – cannot stand silent in the face of such cruelty, forced displacement and disproportionate killing. We therefore stand with Architects for Gaza, and with all other organisations calling for a ceasefire and the restitution of the Palestinian homeland in Gaza and the West Bank.
