Want to help shape this year’s StuCAN Festival? Join our volunteer Festival Curator Team! This October, we’re organising a two day Student Climate Action Festival in Glasgow to bring together built environment students from across the UK and beyond!
This year’s theme is ‘Entanglement’, and invites participants to explore reciprocity in the built environment through the “more than human” relationships we share on global and local scales. From land, communities, people and buildings, to materials, systems, flora and fauna, we want to inspire discourse, learning and unlearning about how we situate ourselves and design within the complexities of our shared planet.
Our built environment plays a crucial role in tackling the climate and ecological crisis, yet many young architects and students lack access to the resources, networks, and knowledge to drive real change.
This Festival will provide a platform for collaboration, agency and action through hands-on building, inspiring workshops and opportunities to meet like-minded students, educators and practitioners.
We are looking for enthusiastic members to help make this vision possible:
– 3x Programme Coordinators
– 2x Participant Coordinators
– 3x Fundraising Treasurers
– 3x Graphics and Publicity Officers
We welcome applications from people of all genders, backgrounds and abilities. Whether you’re a built environment student or graduate, or have a passion for the built environment and regenerative design, all are welcome to join our team!
Head over to our Google Form to find out more about the roles! We’ll be holding an introductory call on Tuesday 22nd July at 1-2PM to find out more, and applications close at midnight the 31st July 2025!
